THE MARKS OF A TRUE MINISTRY, PART 2 – by Steve Schmutzer, June 21st, 2026

A true ministry is one that conforms to the definitions and intentions of God’s Word. While there are different kinds of ministries, none of them can violate certain principles of Scripture and still be called ‘true.’ None of them can regard Jesus Christ and / or the Scriptures improperly and still claim they are legitimate in God’s eyes. But sadly, this is PRECISELY where some ‘ministries’ find themselves. In this lesson, we continue to explore – from the opening portions of 1 Thessalonians Ch. 2 – what defines a TRUE ministry. Paul illustrates from his own experience, and we find the marks of a true ministry are not always things that are measurable or apparent on the surface.
