COMFORT OR CONVICTION: THE DECLINE OF THE MODERN CHURCH
This special lesson is an expanded version of the lesson Steve Schmutzer presented at Prophecy Watchers’ ‘Rapture in the Rockies’ prophecy conference in Colo. Springs, June 4-7, 2026. The Bible clearly teaches the personal benefits of studying Bible prophecy: our wisdom, our purity, our encouragement, and so on. But we need to dig a little deeper to see the importance of Bible prophecy for the greater church. God’s Word suggests it may serve as a litmus test for true faith, but it certainly draws a bright red line between two very different types of people. This lesson explores some of the reasons why Bible prophecy deserves to be properly placed and taught within the greater body of Christ.
